We've done a smalltown brewer exchange - big welcome to Herr Sänger from Bavaria. His last role was at Engelbrau Rettenberg. Sänger smiles when he washes kegs, so we reckon he's one of the good guys.

Today we handed over the brewhouse to get a traditional Bavarian Hefeweizen put in the tank. Give it about 6 weeks.

A Dark Koyt? It’s our dark spin on the Dutch beer style from the 1500s which uses over 40 percent malted oats. The oats and dark malts giving a nutty chocolate and caramel, while the local honey lightens the body before smooth vanilla. A twist on an old school brew where winter nights mean cold flat rides.

ABV: 6.0%

Malts: Oats, Wheat, Crystal, Chocolate, Pale Chocolate, Roasted

Ol’ Smokey Barrel Aged Smoked Porter – A collab with The Cottage Scone!!

A fire, a camp oven and limited ingredients - Ol’ Smokey would make it work. Bit like our mate Colin, at The Cottage in Scone, who used pecan wood to smoke the malts for this beer. Blend in two barrels of 18-month whisky barrel aged imperial Brown Porter and we’ve got a smoked ale rich in malts, a touch of smoke at the back and lasting oak. Grab your camp oven!!

Get ready for the complexity of this beer, it has it all from whisky to chocolate and back to oak and smoke.
