The New England is one of Australia’s most unique regions, even though the name and its borders are debated! Uralla is in the centre of the New England and has a pretty cool climate at over 1000m. We love our four seasons, our local bad ass bushranger Frederick Ward (we’re not sure he’s dead), classic pubs and great local accommodation. The best thing is that lots of small food producers are popping up everywhere in our region. Armidale, Walcha and Tamworth all have great weekend farmers markets to check out, while our local wineries punch above their weight.
Oh and remember that the New England nearly became the seventh state in 1967!
